Megan Downey Studio transformed a split-level house in Forest Hills by reimagining the rear interior to create a spacious, connected kitchen and playroom. By removing a secondary staircase and opening the wall between the two spaces, the studio added a built-in sofa and steps, visually and functionally linking these rooms as the heart of the home.
